The salary is the same in each of the cities. For the full-time£¨25-hous plus office time£© contract the basical pay is 16.000 RMB a month. For the 25-hour a week contract, the basical pay is 11.200 RMB a month.

To put this in perspective, a teacher on the 35-hour contract will earn an average of $32,000 US Dollars or 20,600 British Pounds per year. A teacher on the 25-hour contract will earn $21,500 US Dollars or 14,000 British Pounds per year.
