JOB DESCRIPTION -Visiting Instructor of TESOL

The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at the University of Central Florida is seeking to hire a full-time Visiting Instructor of TESOL for Eastern Region campuses. Teaching assignment will consist of eight courses a year. Position begins August, 2008.

Candidates should have: (1) minimum of an MA in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or related field from an accredited institution (2) demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level, (3) teaching experience.

Preferences: Experience with media instruction; Experience in teaching undergraduate ESOL endorsement courses; K-12 teaching experience.

If not a US citizen the appointment is contingent upon procuring and maintaining the appropriate immigration and/or visa status prior to the effective date of the appointment and for the duration of the appointment.

Submit a one-page letter of application, current C.V., and three recent letters of recommendation, including one from someone who has observed the applicant's teaching. Applications are due by April 11, 2008.
