NEEDED:
CONTRACT INSTRUCTORS
AND VOLUNTEERS

We are currently looking for fun, creative and motivated contract instructors who would like to teach in an after school program in Oakland.

The Urban Arts After School Program at Peralta Creek Middle School encourages students to develop academic and life skills through innovative and exciting classes.

If you like working with students to provide academic support, and if you have additional talents or skills, then we want you!

Academic Subjects:
•Computers and Chess
•Newcomer/ELD

Enrichment Classes:
•Visual Arts & Graffiti
•Dance/ Drama
•Other…(please inquire if you have other talents)

Location:
Peralta Creek Middle School
2101 35th Ave, Oakland, CA 94601

Contract Start Date: August 18, 2008
Contract End Date: June 5, 2009

Class hours:Mon., Tue., Thu.: approximately 2:45pm-4:30 pm.
Wed. and 2nd & 3rd Fri. approx. 1:15-3:00pm (minimum day)

Terms: Contract work; after-school hours Mon-Fri

Instructors must have:
•High School or College graduate (official transcripts are required)
•At least 48 units of College credits (official transcript required)
•Department of Justice Fingerprint and TB clearance
