Description:
Teaches the English language and American culture to SANG personnel to assist them in achieving the mission goal of English language qualification. Duties and responsibilities include teaching English to SANG personnel, to include: A) Preparation of daily lesson plans. B) Development of supplementary materials. C) Use of appropriation techniques in the classroom. D) Assigning and grading homework. E) Provide remedial instruction when required. Follow Vinnell ELTB administrative regulations. Meet established deadlines. Presents a neat, professional, appearance in the workplace. Demonstrates a positive, constructive attitude toward the job, fellow workers, and the ELTS. Demonstrates initiative and professionalism in the solving of pedagogical and administrative problems. Substitutes for the Principal Trainer when required. Minimum qualifications include an educational level of a M.A. in teaching English as a second language or education; or a B.A. or B.S. in linguistics; or B.A. or B.S. in English or a foreign language. Certification in teaching English as a foreign language desired but not required. Two (2) years teaching English as a foreign language outside the U.S. and preferably in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East. Specific knowledge, skill and ability requirement including native speaker of the American language, training at American universities, ability to teach and evaluate students effectively; skill in managing a class; skill in using language lab equipment; computer literate and proficient in MS Office Professional software.
