Description: The Shepherd School in Beit Sahour, Palestine is located 5 miles from Jerusalem and next to Bethlehem. Beginning in September 2008, the English program will expand to offer evening classes for members of the community as well as students of the school. The evening program is affiliated with the British Council and Cambridge University, and aims to provide quality English language education to residents of the Bethlehem area. Volunteer teachers are needed to teach evening English language classes to children and/or adult students. Volunteers will work five days a week and no more than 20 hours per week. Housing near the school and a monthly stipend (enough for food) will be provided. Couples and friends may apply to volunteer together.

Qualifications: native speakers of English. Previous teaching experience is preferred but not required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
