The Institute of Applied Technology (IAT) is endeavoring to lead career-based technical education in the Middle East region. Founded in 2005 through a royal decree of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, Ruler of Abu Dhabi, IAT has been set up to create a world class system of career-based technical secondary education for UAE students. IAT’s aim is to meet the industrial and technical challenges and requirements that will allow for them to move on to higher education and pursue their careers in the higher technologies. The Institute of Applied Technology with its campuses in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Al Shahama, encompasses higher learning start-ups in aviation, logistics, nursing and vocational training center.

At present the institute’s program are focused within four career clusters: Engineering; Math and Sciences; Manufacturing and Mechatronics; and Information Technology. IAT’s growing learning community is comprised of more than 3000 K10-12 students, 400 teaching staff and 150 support professionals.

To facilitate our rapid expansion and growth we are seeking to recruit academic professionals to join our team.

Applicants must hold Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) plus CELTA/ DELTA/ TESOL/ IELTS as a prerequisite. A minimum 2 years of teaching experience at secondary school level in the relevant field. Responsibilities will be to teach English to UAE national students who need a solid foundation in English which they will use to develop their Applied Technology skills. The incumbent is responsible to assess students’ performance with the aim of helping students develop the linguistic ability to function effectively in an international environment. Candidates with Teaching Certificate will be given preference.
