Our online certificate TEFL - TESOL course Study at your own pace and on your own schedule. Once you have successfully completed your studies, you graduate with both TEFL and TESOL certificates. We can also offer you assistance in finding a JOB through one of our affiliated job placement partners in Asia. .

Duration and Times:

Paradise TEFL's certificate course is conducted over a 4-week period, Monday to Friday of each week. Classes begin at 11:00am and conclude at 5:00pm each day. Weekends you are free to relax and enjoy the many attractions to be found in the cities where our classes are located.

Day 1: Introduction to the course, Phnom Penh or Pai briefing

Day 2: About the class project and Lesson Planning

Day 3: Classroom Management, writing your ESL resume

Day 4: Overview of the approaches to Language Learning, The Grammar-Translation Method

Day 5: The Direct Method and Audiolingual Method, final draft of resume due

Day 6: Suggestopedia, the Silent Way, Communicative Language Teaching, Community Language Learning

Day 7: Total Physical Response, Functional-notional approach, The Bottom-Up approach

Day 8: Grammar review and teaching grammar

Day 9: Teaching Reading

Day 10: Class Project #1 due, Teaching Writing

Day 11: Teaching Pronunciation and Speaking, 1st observed teaching lesson

Day 12: The International Phonetics Alphabet (IPA), 2nd observed teaching lesson

Day 13: The IPA and teaching pronunciation, 3rd observed teaching lesson

Day 14: Teaching Listening, 4th observed teaching lesson

Day 15: Textbook evaluation, 5th observed teaching lesson

Day 16: Games in the classroom, Material development 6th observed teaching lesson

Day 17: 7th observed teaching

Day 18: Tutoring, Teaching Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced students, 8th observed teaching

Day 19: Final Projects and presentations due, correction techniques

Day 20: Course review, projects and presentations feedback, certificate presentations, party

Assessment:

There is no final examination, you are evaluated using the following criteria:

Introduction:

The Paradise TEFL IELTS - TOEFL course will give you all the skills you need to provide students with training in either IELTS or TOEFL.
