ESL Jobs World : Huijia Education Organization (HEO) is the proud owner of Beijing Huijia (IB) Private School, Huijia University and Huijia Kindergartens. HEO commenced operations at the outset of Private Education Reform in China in 1993. Since then, Beijing Huijia (IB) Private School has grown from a modest beginning of 40 students to over 2400 students, all of whom board on its Private School campus (Year 1 to Year 12) in Changping, Beijing. Huijia Private School operates a range of international and domestic curricula with the IB Diploma Program at its core across its Year 1 to Year 12 learning areas. Since its inception, it has committed itself to the teaching of English and western academic skills facilitated through the employment of foreign teaching staff from North America, Australia, New Zealand, the British Isles, the Philippines and elsewhere. With over 50 foreign teachers on staff deployed as English and subject teachers, be it, Science, Maths, Economics or Philosophy, where English can be used as the medium of instruction, it is an ideal location for the professional minded teacher to grow and develop there skills. HEO also operates Huijia University (opened in 2003) which has around 3500 students on its newly established University campus. HEO also operates 16 Kindergartens (based on a Montessori model) at various Beijing City locations, with over 2000 students in their care. Huijia is located only a few minutes away from the town of Changping (pop. circa 500,000) within the Changping Science Park Zone. Changping itself is about 35 Kilometres north of the very busy Beijing downtown area and easily accessed by a range of public, private and school transport. The location of the school within the Science Park precinct sees it benefit from Beijing’s clean and fresh ‘north wind’, low levels of pollution and the quiet of a semi-rural setting with all the benefits of the city proper. Nearby rural areas and the original Changping village, which shares the west boundary of the school, add to the tranquil setting. Overall, the environment is clean and green, making living (teachers live on campus), teaching and learning at Huijia a positive educational and life experience for staff and students. BHPS is one of the most modern and advanced schools in Beijing. It has a whole of child approach similar to Western Schools and incorporates dance and music (there are over 130 Piano Rooms in the primary School!) into normal programs. Student work also decorates the walls and offices of the Primary and Secondary buildings. When you accept a position with any of the Huijia schools (i.e. Primary School, IB School, CACB etc), you maybe placed in a single department (IB, CACB) or you may work across departs in your specialist teaching field. If you want to work overtime, this is possible and you may work in one of the other school departments or the University. However, overtime is your choice, not a requirement.
