Gen Dou Bilingual Kindergarten and Buxiban in Magong City is seeking 2 Foreign English Teachers to start in May. The school environment is friendly and welcoming with great staff and students. There are currently 4 Taiwanese English teachers and three foreign teachers.
Our school is located in the small seaside city of Magong, in Penghu. Magong is the largest city in the Penghu archipelago and you can find everything you need here. The locals are relaxed and friendly and it's a great place to immerse yourself in Taiwanese culture and language. Not only are Penghu's pristine beaches and rocky coasts fit for snorkeling, windsurfing, fishing, diving and more, it has scores of beautiful islands for you to visit. The position details:
Start - May 30, 2011
position 1 - NTD40,000 / 70 hours per month
position 2 - NTD50,000 / 90 hours per month
1 year contract
ARC provided
Working hours M/T/TH/F 2-3pm (break) 3:30pm-5pm (dinner break) 6:30-8:30pm + W 2-3pm (snack break) 3:30pm-5pm
No required office hours - prepare lessons in your own time
Types of Classes: conversation, elementary and high school conversation / reading / writing
Students: ages 5 - 17
Basic temporary accommodation provided on school premises

Teachers are required to have:
a Bachelors degree from a recognized University (Bachelor's of Education preferred)
a passport from either US, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa
experience working with young people & children
a professional attitude and open mind
