U-Best American School is a great school, and we’re looking for another teacher to join our team. We are the largest employer of Foreign English speaking teachers in Caotun. At the moment, we have 7 Foreign teachers at our school and we are looking for one more! Our school is well established and we are always growing. Teaching experience is not required as training is provided. We also offer monthly training seminars as well as an excellent working environment where help is offered whenever you need it! We'll also help you find accommodation that suits you. There are apartments within walking distance to the school, many of which come furnished. There are internet cafes everywhere as well.Also, U-Best does not hold back any of your pay as bond; plus after you sign a contract for one year we’ll give you a NT$30,000 airfare bonus. We will even pay half of it as soon as you successfully complete the training. Caotun is a great city. It is a smaller city of about 100,000 people.

It is close to the mountains so the scenery is beautiful and the air is fresh. There are many beautiful vacation spots nearby including Sun Moon Lake, and YuShan (Jade Mountain – the highest mountain in Southeast Asia), as well as hot springs, and historical sites. Also, because it is a smaller city, the cost of living is quite low which is great if you’re looking to save money to pay off debt or travel after your year is up. Teachers at our school have done quite well with sending home NT30,000 a month, while living comfortably!

Also we are a 30-minute bus ride to TaiChung. TaiChung is the third largest city in Taiwan. It has well over 1 million people, with tons of things to do – including clubs, bars, malls, movie theatres and lots of international restaurants. A great perk to living in Caotun is that we’re close enough to the city without having to deal with all the intercity hassle (traffic, lineups, noise!) Also the air is much cleaner here. There are about 20 foreigners in this city so we’re a friendly group. In town there are people from Canada, England, Scotland, South Africa, Australia, and a few other places. We usually get together regularly for group activities such as soccer, cricket, dinners, bowling, cards, pub nights (there is a great one in town), movies, etc. This is great because you never really feel homesick as there’s always the support of good friends nearby.
