2,150,000 Korean Won (KRW) per Month
I encourage Uni. grads to consider joining our team at SNET, where we offer 6-12 mos contracts & a positive work environment & help us make a difference.

I'm Alex, the program cocordinator for SNET http://www.snet.or.kr/about/index_eng.as p, in Bundang (S. Korea) & we've several openings for special people (recent uni. grads, bilinguals, bi-culturals, well-traveled, folks, social activists, poli sci. majors, women's studies majors, social work majors, peace studies majors, international relations majors, environmental studies majors, sociology, psychology & anthropology majors, Asian studies, UN enthusiasts, performers & public speakers, artists & musicians, film & drama majors, recreation majors, camp counselors & leads,...).

We conduct hands-on interactive workshops, focused on teaching & sharing meaningful social issues in English, i.e. social justice, diversity issues, human rights, gender equality, child rights, environmental stewardship, sustainable living, global issues, etc. in fun & interesting ways; camp style.

We've a full curriculum in place with complete workshop (lesson) plans & proprietor student books. 280-300 Students (6th grade) stay on premises (but not with staff) for 1 week at a time (M-F) & learn hands-on (in small groups of 12-15) in various simulation rooms, i.e. Global connections, google earth, world festivals, photo lab, broadcast station, cooking lab, yoga room, ...

Here, we tend to the "whole" person & we've an excellent team of collaborative, highly motivated, exciting 20-person international staff housed in a hillside of Bundang with beautiful scenery, complete with hiking trails & exercise equipment. We also have tennis courts, basket ball hoops, a soccer field & an exercise room, plus a few free weights. Folks have formed a cooking club & a runners club, in addition to cardio-kick aerobics & hot yoga classes; so we've a real community here (home away from home).

We're looking for positive, community-minded, socially conscientious, animated, energetic, passionate, solution-oriented, self-motivated, compassionate, caring English camp teacher/counselors with some knowledg of, & preferably a background in, community service & volunteer works. Teaching, tutoring &/or camp counseling would be very useful; Teacher/TESOL certification is an added bonus (though not required).

We wish to be 100% transparent & welcome visits to SNET. We're VERY different than other SK establishments, for our goals & approach are entirely different.

We offer 6-12 mos. contracts. Positions are full time (40hrs/wk M-F 830-530 or T-Sat). Staff conduct two 50min. pre-planned simulation workshops per day, 3 times each (total 6). & we offer 1.9-2.3 mil. won/mos DOE + benefits; 2-4 wks paid holiday DOC, free housing (pair share), free full utilities, weekly cleaning service, 3 meals/day (M-F), airfare (1 way or Round trip DOC) & 50% medical, plus 1 mos. severance pay after 1 yr. of service & other performance-based bonuses.

This is a great opportunity for folks who are visionary activists in mind & heart; those who feel responsible to contribute meaningfully, while having fun & educating global citizens for a brighter future. We've an excellent community here & are looking for like-minded persons to join us in creating a more just & peaceful world through education.

Feel free to browse our website & if interested, please send your "relevant" experience & training resume in education, teaching, tutoring & camp counseling, (include your community service & volunteer works) & the photo page of your passport.
