Salary:275 000 per month
Period: April 1st 2008 to July 31st 2009
Working Hours: Monday through Friday except the statutory holidays and New Years Holidays (from December 29th through January 3rd). On occasions the ALT may be asked to work the above mentioned holidays. In this case a substitute holiday will be arranged. Hours on duty are from 8:30am until 12:00pm and then from 12:45pm until 5:15pm each day. School holidays “may” be granted as holidays depending on the work load at the schools the ALT is based at. August 1st through 31st is a holiday.
Accommodation: Semi-furnished accommodation supplied (rent free). Utilities paid for by ALT.
Commuting: The ALT will need to buy a car for transportation to the various teaching schools. A commuting fee will be paid to the ALT
Health Insurance: The ALT must join the Japanese National Health Insurance Scheme. (Cost about 5000 yen per month to cover 70% of all medical and dental costs)
Airfare: MES will pay JPY60 000 to cover the airfare to Japan. The Gujo Education Board will pay for the Employee’s economy class airfare to return to the Employee’s country of residence prior to moving to Japan.
“The Employer employs the Employee as an assistant language teacher and international cultural exchange coordinator between April 1, 2008 and July 31, 2009 to enhance language education and to promote cross-cultural understanding to benefit the city’s school children and adult residents.
The Employee, under the direction of the principal of each school, is required to teach English to students at elementary school classes, to assist the English teacher at junior high school classes, and to promote and assist international exchange programs.
The Employee, under the direction of the chief of each project section, is required to teach English to the residents of the city of Gujo, and to promote and assist international exchange programs
