Our college was founded in 1993, directly approved by the State Education Commission. Mr. He Jingzhi, the former vice minister of the Central Propaganda Department and the substituting minister of the Ministry of Culture, is the honored president of the college.
The garden-like college is located in the beautiful scenic forest city—Yichun, which is famous as the “Nativeland of Korean Pine” and the state-level excellent tour city. Yichun was successively awarded “The Best Ecotourism City in China”, “The State Garden-like City”, “The Model City for Residential Environment”, “The Best Summer Resort in China” and “One of the Ten Harmonious Cities in the World.” The geographic location of the college gives the resident students opportunities to explore and pursue a wide variety of activities. This full-time system college has higher education in forestry, arts, cience, business, law and teachers’ education. It covers an area of 360,400 square
meterwith a floor space of 150,000 square meters. At present, the total value of the educational equipments is 20 million yuan and the library has a collection of more than 400,000 books. It has numerous facilities to meet a variety of needs, including 4 teaching buildings, 1 core library with a collection of nearly 400,000 volumes, 25 laboratories, 1 gymnasium, 1 auditorium, 5 high-standard students’ dormitory, 1 400-meter track standard sports ground, 1 200-meter track training court,. 2 in-school training factories, and 20 out-school education and production training bases, and music studios, recital halls, art studios, etc.
