THE IMPROOV PROGRAMME, Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire

The IMPROOV Programme is a small but growing language institution set up in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire last year. The company is seeking to expand its current full time teaching staff from one to three, for its corporate clients.

Cote d’Ivoire is an interesting place to live in. Despite the crisis that started in 2002 and ended this year by a peace deal, the country has not lost its main powerful attraction: its people, friendly, welcoming and of good nature. If you are interested in music, leisure, beaches and entertainment, Cote d’Ivoire is the place to come and teach. You will find a lot of physical beauty, from towering mountains to fishing villages and beaches, easily reached on some of the best roads in Africa.

The following are essential criteria for the job:
- Native English speaker.
- Demonstrated excellent English skills.
- Proven experience in teaching (preferably businesses & corporate clients)
- A recognized TEFL teaching certification or a university degree.
- Mature, Responsible person with professional outlook, is a must.
- Willing to commit for 12 months.


In return, we are offering the following:
- A salary of approximately $800 to $1200 per month in local currency (400,000 to 700,000 XOF, based on qualifications & experience) for a 12 month contract.
- Free furnished 3 bedroom apartment, shared with a maximum of two other teachers.
- Small classes with no more than 12 students
- 30 to 40 hours of teaching per week (5 days a week)
- Free airport pick-up and transport to the school site every working day.
- Assistance for visa arrangements.
- Paid vacations plus all national holidays.
- One return flight ticket.
